Lots of time we get it right, but sometimes we just get it wrong. Sometimes it is life transforming. It is life for us. If we get frustrated at the times we get it wrong, it controls our life. Life with Samuel is so intertwined with the life of Eli. Samuels story is impacted by Eli's story. Samuel grew up in the temple. His mom had dedicated him at the temple. Eli as the priest was raising Samuel in the temple. Samuel was known as the priest who got it right in his lifetime. His legacy was as a man of God that led the nation. This is what we know him as.
